Suwannee Springs is a little known
                       jewel of North Florida,
            nestled conveniently between
        Interstate 10 & 75 off U.S. Highway 129.

The purpose of this website is to tell you the story of Suwannee Springs, so maybe you will understand why the fans of this place love it so much.

On the surface it would seem that this place has been forgotten, but if you take a closer look you will see that just isn't so. Suwannee Springs Florida has always been loved by many people.  These people never forgot about this place, not at all! Unfortunately, we just took it for granted that it would be here forever. But not anymore. It has been brought to our attention that this beloved place is in need of out help. We are going to stop the deterioration of the Springs, the historical walls, the historic cabins, as well as the 14 acres that once was a famous resort. We want to save Suwannee Springs.

The Springs sit on the shore of the historic Suwannee River. It is owned by the Suwannee River Water Management District and the State of Florida.  The Springs and River offer great swimming.

We want a park that will become a destination of the locals as well as out-of-state Florida visitors.
Restoring this park is a win-win deal for everyone.

In addition to the park, there is a
historic metal truss bridge (the last of its kind) within view of the Springs and a wonder to explore. We aim to keep it too.

This bridge, the limestone walls surrounding the Spring, and the property all are potentially eligible to be on the National Registry of Historical Places.

The Springs are
surrounded by a limestone wall 15 feet high and over one-hundred-years old.  You will find no other like it.

In addition,  there is a
wonderful tourism history associated with Suwannee Springs.

The main spring pool outlet

Over a hundred years ago a very popular resort stood on the grounds and people would come from all over the country to swim in the Springs.
So come out and visit anytime.

Explore this website to learn about this wonderful,
one-of-a-kind piece of history.
